Clinic Exploration Program

INTRODUCTION:

Turks & Caicos Islands Clinic Exploration Program (TCI CEP) is a program committed to providing an excellent insight into the Health Sciences with a focus on providing opportunities to promising locals and other underrepresented students to better explore and understand the Health Profession. The goal of TCI CEP is to form partnerships with local practices in the surrounding communities to help prepare the future generation to meet the increasing demand for quality health care practitioners. Forming these partnerships will play a vital role in the TCI CEP efforts to make significant positive impact on the health status of the TCI community.

Goals & Rotation Sites

GOALS:

1. To equip the next generation of health care professionals with a community oriented knowledge, including cultural competency necessary to choose a health care field that best suits them and help with the development of their countries well being.

2. To strengthen the school and college partnership with communities in an effort to address the unmet health care needs.

3. To provide shadowing opportunity to all students interested in the health profession.
